BIO

Since a very young age, Micah has had an interest in all things creative. From tinkering with discarded electronics to shooting hours of footage on family vacations, he was always trying to figure things out and explore the world around him.

After finishing high school, he spent several years pursuing his passion for photography and travel. In 2005, Micah had his first feature film experience working on the Minnesota production "Lights Out". He also worked in youth ministry - from downtown Indianapolis to Zambia. After returning from Africa, Micah settled in Minneapolis where he got married and enrolled at Northwestern College. Here his focus shifted from photography to cinematography, as he discovered his passion and talent for film making.

At Northwestern, Micah was a member of the Eagle Scholar Honors Society as well as an Executive Staff member of the Video Productions Workshop. He was part of the team responsible for planning, marketing, and hosting Northwestern's 2011 Five16 Film Festival. During May/June 2010, he interned as the 2nd A.C. on the feature film "For the Glory" in Washington, D.C. He also directed and produced several student films that won national awards from multiple organizations. In 2011, Micah graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media Communications.

Micah is currently interning as a web video producer and all-around creative guy at The Doug and Jon Show. He plans to pursue a career behind the camera, with aspirations of working as the Director of Photography on feature films.

REFERENCES

Micah is an exquisite photographer, responsible and flexible, often looking for a way to help beyond his job description. He is mature and shows a great deal of respect for those who work with and around him.

- Linda Holmes, Director/Producer
"Lights Out" (White Horse Productions)

My wife Bonnie and I had parts in a short filmed by Micah, "Belong", and had an opportunity to observe him as a director.  He had a very professional approach to all aspects of the production. The shoot was well planned and rehearsed, went very smoothly and finished on time. We fully expect and look forward to be seeing more of his work as he pursues his career in film production as a producer, director and cinematographer.

- Ted Johnson, Actor

Micah is one of those "raw talents" who will get better and better with time & experience. He is already a talent both in the edit suite and behind the camera and my clients have never been disappointed by any of his work. I highly recommend him.

- Jeff Framke, Director of Business Development
Main Point Media

I love how Micah has a vision for everything he does. He always makes any project he is working on look and sound better. His dedication to excellence is obvious in all of his work.
